The Platsol™ process was originally developed in collaboration with the University of British Columbia, Kane Consultants Ltd., and Lakefield Research in Canada for the treatment of flotation sulfide concentrate for Polymet Mining Company in Minnesota and was tested on similar types of concentrate materials.
Problem with gold recovery from sulphide ore: How may a mill get the maximum recovery of gold from a sulphide ore, at the least capital cost and at the same time obtain the highest net return. This latter point is most important. In many cases a gold mill using an all-cyanide flowsheet with fine grinding of all the ore will report very low gold content in the tailings particularly on an

A sequential flotation process for the recovery of high-grade concentrates of copper, lead and cobalt-nickel from sulfide ores is provided. A primary grind ore pulp is conditioned with SO 2 as H 2 SO 3 under intense aeration, and the conditioned pulp subjected to sequential flotation, with regrinding and conditioning of a copper rougher concentrate obtained in the first flotation step for copper.
sulphide ore flotation practices in brief and processes adopted in HZL's plants. It also highlights R&D efforts made and new grinding media and the sulphide minerals. 7. Sulphide ore minerals are generally floated using thiol type reagent xanthates, dithio phosphates etc. Oxidised minerals do not
According to the nature of the ore and the gold processing test results, the coarse grinding-mixed flotation-regrinding- sulfide separation processes can better recover gold. Choosing the right grinding fineness can help avoid over-grinding, which is the first prerequisite for reducing grinding costs and improving recovery.
The main considerations are the fineness of the ore grinding, the concentration of cyanide in the slurry, and the leaching time. At the same time, in order to reduce the amount of cyanidation operations, the flotation concentrate re-cyanidation process can be used. 2.Sulfide gold-bearing ores: Most gold-bearing sulfide ores can be processed
Grinding tests were applied in order to achieve an adequate degree of mineral liberation. During grinding, addition of a depressant was performed to reduce flotation of unwanted minerals. The grinding tests were performed in a grinding mill of 8250 cm3. A total weight of 7 kg of steel bars was used as grinding media for 1 kg of ore

Flotation has been used for processing these ores. The grinding fineness, lime dosage, collector type and dosage all have influences on flotation results. In the present work, the best condition of grinding fineness, lime, and collector dosage was used to separate the copper sulfide and other minerals in the ores.
Abstract. The effect of dry and wet grinding on the flotation of complex sulfide ores from the Merensky Reef in South Africa was investigated. Topographical examination of the ground particle surfaces by scanning electron and atomic force microscopy showed that the dry ground samples had relatively rough particle surfaces with a high concentration of microstructural defects, while the wet

Grinding this ore in an iron mill reduced the natural floatability of sphalerite significantly. Many industrial circuits also showed significant effects of milling on sulphide flotation (Kocabag and Smith, 1982, Forssberg et al., 1988 and Forssberg et al., 1993). The depression of sulphide flotation after milling in a
